KARNEVAL: Terrorgefahr! Partys abgesagt – Polizei massiv im EinsatzUnter verschärften Sicherheitsmaßnahmen beginnt der Straßenkarneval in Deutschland. Hintergrund sind Drohungen der Terrororganisation „Islamischer Staat“. Besonders der Kölner Karneval gilt als mögliches Anschlagsziel, weshalb 1.500 zusätzliche Polizisten im Einsatz sind. Während NRW-Innenminister Herbert Reul betont, dass es keinen konkreten Anlass zur Sorge gebe, wurden Faschingsfeiern in Nürnberg und anderen Städten abgesagt. Eine Umfrage zeigt: Rund ein Viertel der Feiernden verzichtet dieses Jahr aus Angst vor Anschlägen auf den Karneval. Experten warnen vor bestehenden Sicherheitslücken, etwa bei der Überwachung sozialer Medien.
