Vụ cháy nhà ở đường Định Công Hạ, quận Hoàng Mai, Hà Nội, nhiều xe cứu thương, cứu hỏa túc trực phía bên ngoài, hàng trăm người dân đứng dọc theo ven đường dõi theo lực lượng chức năng làm nhiệm vụ. Phía bên trong, lực lượng chức năng khẩn trương cứu hộ cứu nạn. Theo người dân ở đây, vụ cháy xảy ra tại một ngôi nhà 6 tầng của một gia đình gồm các thế hệ khác nhau. Phía dưới của ngôi nhà kinh doanh đồ diện. Thời điểm xảy ra cháy bên trong có khoảng 5 – 6 người (gồm cả người làm). Khi ấy, một số người nhanh chóng chạy thoát kịp, còn một số người mắc kẹt ở trong. Nhận được tin báo, lực chức năng nhanh chóng điều động xe chữa cháy chuyên nghiệp, cùng nhiều cán bộ chiến sĩ tới hiện trường, khẩn trương dập lửa và tiến hành tìm kiếm cứu nạn. Liên quan đến vụ cháy, Giám đốc Công an Hà Nội đã trực tiếp xuống hiện trường để chỉ đạo công tác chữa cháy và tìm kiếm cứu hộ.
