Ia menduga kasus ini sengaja diangkat ke publik oleh pihak tertentu dengan tujuan memicu kekacauan.
Dalam sebuah pernyataan, Irjen Pol Aryanto menyebut bahwa provokator polemik ijazah Jokowi ingin kasus ini ramai dan Indonesia kacau.
Menurut Aryanto, pihak yang berada di balik isu ijazah ini kemungkinan adalah mereka yang memiliki kekecewaan pribadi terhadap pemerintahan.
Ia menyebut beberapa karakteristik yang diduga dimiliki oleh dalang isu ini.
"Orang yang kecewa, pernah dipecat, partainya dibubarkan, partainya kalah, Amerika. Dia pengennya kacau terus. Itu hanya dugaan," kata Irjen Pol Aryanto.
Aryanto meyakini bahwa dugaannya ini lambat laun akan terbukti secara hukum.
Sosok Irjen Pol (Purn) Aryanto Sutadi sendiri merupakan purnawirawan perwira tinggi (Pati) Polri.
Meski sudah pensiun dari korps Bhayangkara, ia masih aktif menjadi penasejat ahli kapolri bidang hukum.
Aryanto mengawali karier sebagai lulusan Akademi Kepolisian (Akpol) tahun 1977.
Ia pernah menjadi Staf pada Komando Kepolisian Resor Bangkalan (1971-1973), Staf pada Komando Kepolisian Resor Temanggung (1978-1984), dan Kabag Ren-Min Ops Dit Reserse Polda Metro Jaya (1986).
Kemudian Perwira Penghubung Protokol/Sespri (1991), Kasat Reserse Ekonomi Polda Metro Jaya (1993), Staf Pribadi Kapolri (1996) hingga Direktur Reserse Pidana Tertentu Polri tahun 2001.
Selanjutnya, Aryanto menjabat Direktur Reserse Pidana Umum Polri (2001) dan Direktur I Kejahatan Keamanan dan Trans-Nasional Bareskrim Polri (2002).
Pada 2004-2005, ia ditunjuk menjadi Kapolda Sulawesi Tengah.
Pada 2005, Aryanto dimutasi menjadi Direktur IV Narkoba dan Terorganisir Polri.
Lalu, dia menjadi Staf Ahli Kapolri Bidang Sosial Budaya (2007) dan Kepala Divisi Pembinaan Hukum Polri (2007).
Sejak 2009, Aryanti sudah menjadi Penasihat Ahli Kapolri Bidang Hukum.
Selain itu, dia juga tercatat menjadi Deputi Bidang Pengkajian dan Penanganan Sengketa Badan Pertanahan Nasional (BPN).
