In Genf konnten sich rund 180 Staaten nicht auf verbindliche Maßnahmen einigen. Während Deutschland, die EU und über 100 Staaten eine Begrenzung der Plastikproduktion fordern, setzen Erdöl-Exportländer wie Saudi-Arabien, Iran und Russland auf ein reines Abfallmanagement – ein tiefer Riss in der globalen Umweltpolitik.
