It’s time for an almighty Ford Mustang head-to-head!

We’ve got seven generations of the world’s most iconic pony car lined up on the runway to see which era reigns supreme. From the legendary 60s Shelby to the brand-new Dark Horse, it’s a V8-powered journey through time! Let’s check out the stats…

First up, the Mk1 GT350 Shelby (1965). It’s got a 4.7-litre V8 producing 446hp and 569Nm. Representing the 70s is the Mk2 King Cobra, with its 5.0-litre V8 making a modest 141hp. It’s the lightweight of the group at 1,240kg and is valued at around $30,000.

Then we have the Mk3 Fox Body GT (1993) with the famous 5.0-litre "High Output" V8 pushing 228hp and 407Nm, weighing in at 1,450kg with a price tag of $30,000. Moving into the 2000s, the Mk4 Bullitt brings 269hp and 413Nm from a 4.6-litre V8. It weighs 1,470kg and costs roughly $20,000.

Things get serious with the Mk5 Bullitt (2008). Its 4.6-litre V8 is a beast, putting down 320hp and 441Nm! It’s 1,610kg and worth about $30,000. Following it is the Mk6 Bullitt (2018), a naturally aspirated hero with 480hp and 570Nm, weighing 1,755kg and valued at $50,000.

Finally, we have the latest tech: the Mk7 Dark Horse (2024). It packs 507hp and 567Nm from its 5.0-litre Coyote V8, weighs 1,800kg, and will set you back $64,000.

Will the raw power of the Dark Horse be too much for the Mk6 Bullitt? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!
