India has joined Russia’s Zapad-2025 military exercises, sending 65 soldiers from the Kumaon Regiment to the five-day drills. The exercises involve around 100-thousand troops, supported by 333 aircraft, 247 naval vessels, and nuclear-capable bombers. President Putin personally oversaw the active phase while dressed in military fatigues. Massive protests broke out in Ecuador's capital, Quito, as citizens opposed the government's elimination of diesel subsidies. Protesters hurled stones at the police and blocked highways.
