Pasalnya, sejumlah tank Israel berusaha maju menerobos beberapa wilayah di Gaza.
Menurut militer Israel, rentetan tembakan roket tersebut tak menimbulkan korban jiwa.
Namun serangan itu menunjukkan kelompok itu masih memiliki kemampuan roket hampir sembilan bula.
Yakni, setelah serangan yang menurut Israel bertujuan untuk menetralisir ancaman terhadapnya.
Sementara itu, menurut sekutu Hamas, para pasukannya menembakkan roket ke beberapa komunitas Israel di dekat pagar Gaza sebagai respons atas kejahatan musuh Zionis terhadap rakyat Palestina.
Sebelumnya, Perdana Menteri Israel Benjamin Netanyahu telah memberi sinyal atas serangan itu.
Yakni, militer Israel mendekati tujuannya untuk menghancurkan kemampuan militer Hamas.
"Operasi yang kurang intens akan terus berlanjut. Kami sedang menuju akhir fase pemberantasan tentara Hamas, dan akan ada kelanjutan serangan terhadap sisa-sisanya," tegas Netanyahu.
