في الحث على أكل الحلال واجتناب الحرام:
والأكلُ من حلالِ من هذه الأموالِ
فرضٌ فقُمْ بالفرضِ تفوزُ يومَ العرضِ
واحذر من الحرامِ في أكلٍ أو إدامِ
أو مركبْ أو ملبوسِ أو موضعِ الجلوسِ
وكلَّ استعمالِ لا تأتهِ بحالِ
فقد أتى الحديثُ بأنه خبيثُ
والحج والصلاةُ والبر والصِّلاتُ
والذكر والقيامُ والعتق والصيامُ
معْ أكلِكَ الحراما لا توصِلَكْ مَراما
بل هِيْ مِن الذنوبِ عند أولي القلوبِ
والسعيُ للعيالِ بالكسب من حلالِ
فيه فضائلْ جمَّه معروفةٌ للأمَّه
بل هُوَ كالمجاهد عند المليك الواحدْ
والحِلُّ لُه مَراتبْ أوَّلُها فواجبْ
أمَّا الحرام المحضُ فالبعد عنه فرضُ
وهُوَ الذي أوجبَهُ فِقْةٌ بأن نَجْنَبَهُ
وفوقها يطلُبْها مَن للعلا يخطُبْها
مَن يتركِ الشُّبهاتِ وسائرَ الشهْواتِ
يتركْ مِن الحلالِ شيئاً نقيّاً حالي
مِن خوف الانجرارِ لمُوجِبِ البوارِ
وهذه الخصالُ عَزَّ لها العمالُ
لكنْ علىٰ ذي السببِ يأتي بكل واجب
ثم يطالبْ قلبَهْ بنيل أعلىٰ رتبهْ
سألها من ربهْ يجعلها من كسبهْ
