Partindo de uma trajetória marcada pelo silêncio e pela brutalidade, ele nos convida a descobrir um campo de afeto capaz de realizar o que parecia impossível: transformar o luto em uma conquista definitiva. Doutor em Ciências da Comunicação pela UFPA e mestre em Letras pela Unifesspa, Airton Souza nasceu e cresceu em Marabá (PA). Em meio à pobreza e violência da periferia onde vivia, aos 14 anos ele começou a transformar seu cotidiano em poesia. O amadurecimento de sua escrita o transformou em um instrumento da expressão popular, dando voz às histórias que as pessoas do seu entorno nunca tiveram oportunidade de contar. Com obras traduzidas para o espanhol, inglês e alemão, Airton já publicou mais de 50 livros,venceu quase 200 prêmios literários e é um dos grandes incentivadores da formação de novos leitores e escritores na Amazônia.
