Quand on lui demande pourquoi il remercie Hachem, il explique qu’il a trois filles qui ne sont toujours pas mariées et qu’il n’a pas les moyens de leur faire de beaux mariages… mais qu’il fait confiance à la volonté d’Hachem, alors il Le remercie malgré l’épreuve. Quelques mois plus tard, il revient organiser un deuxième repas de remerciement. Cette fois, la raison est encore plus surprenante : son camion de travail a été volé. Les étudiants ne comprennent pas pourquoi il remercie Hachem pour un malheur, mais Yaïr répond que la Michna enseigne qu’il faut bénir le mal comme le bien, car tout vient d’Hachem...
