Commercial transport services across the Delhi-NCR region are set to face major disruption as more than 68 transport unions begin a three-day strike from May 21 to May 23. The protest is expected to impact app-based cab services like Uber, Ola and Rapido, along with auto-rickshaws and commercial vehicles. Transport unions say rising fuel prices, maintenance costs and stagnant fares have made operations financially unsustainable. Drivers are also opposing increased environment compensation charges and proposed restrictions on older vehicles. While Metro and government bus services will continue, commuters are being warned to expect delays, overcrowding and longer waiting times across the region.----
