- 1 ekor ikan siakap
- 2 sudu kecil garam
- 2 sudu kecil serbuk kunyit
- 3-4 ulas bawang putih
- 2 biji bawang merah kecil
- 1 inci halia muda
- 1 biji cili merah besar
- 1 sudu kecil biji sawi
- 1-2 sudu besar pes asam jawa
- Air untuk kuah
- 1 sudu kecil serbuk seasoning
- ½ sudu besar gula perang
- Garam secukup rasa
- 10 tangkai cili padi
- 2 biji tomato
- 1 biji bawang holland

- 1 whole seabass (siakap)
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp turmeric powder
- 3–4 cloves garlic
- 2 small shallots
- 1 inch young ginger
- 1 large red chili
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1–2 tbsp tamarind paste
- Water for gravy
- 1 tsp seasoning powder
- ½ tbsp brown sugar
- Salt to taste
- 10 bird’s eye chilies
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 large onion (holland onion)

- Panaskan kuali betul-betul sebelum goreng ikan supaya tak melekat.
- Kuah asam ni boleh adjust ikut selera — lebihkan tamarind untuk masam, atau tambah gula untuk balance.
- Hidang dengan nasi putih panas, sambal belacan atau budu memang ngam!
