Embajador castrista en Dominicana defiende partido único y niega falta de libertades en Cuba
El influencer y activista cubanoamericano Alex Otaola analiza las declaraciones del embajador cubano en República Dominicana, quien defendió el sistema político de la isla asegurando que en Cuba sí hay elecciones, que no existe corrupción y que la libertad de expresión está garantizada. Desde su programa, Otaola desmonta punto por punto ese discurso oficial, cuestionando la narrativa del partido único y la supuesta legitimidad popular del modelo.El presidente de la Fundación Cubana Anticomunista insiste en que el régimen utiliza el referéndum constitucional de 2019 y la estructura electoral controlada para proyectar hacia el exterior una imagen de respaldo masivo. Según el activista, esa narrativa ignora el miedo, la falta de pluralidad política real y la represión contra voces críticas, incluyendo jóvenes detenidos por cuestionar al poder.
Otaola también confronta la afirmación de que en Cuba nadie es perseguido por pensar diferente. Para el influencer, las leyes como la de Comunicación Social funcionan como instrumentos de control y castigo contra quienes disienten. En su análisis, callar frente al poder termina validando un sistema que se presenta ante el mundo como democrático mientras restringe libertades fundamentales.
El mensaje central es claro: para Alex Otaola, la pasividad fortalece al aparato político que luego utiliza esa misma “participación” como prueba de consenso. El activista sostiene que la presión cívica y la acción ciudadana son la única vía para desmontar un modelo que, según su criterio, se sostiene en el miedo y la manipulación institucional.
