Durante l’esecuzione di “America”, le due artiste si sono lasciate andare a tocchi espliciti e gesti sensuali – seno sfiorato, fondoschiena accarezzato – scatenando reazioni feroci.
A prendere posizione, in diretta su "UN GIORNO SPECIALE", è stato Simone Pillon, ex senatore della Lega, che ha commentato senza filtri l’accaduto: “Gianna Nannini ed Elodie si strusciano, si toccano, si palpano le tette e sculettano. Nessuno dice mezza parola”.
Ma il vero bersaglio di Pillon è l’ipocrisia morale di chi, a suo dire, si presenta come portavoce di una certa etica, ma poi si comporta in tutt’altro modo: “Vanno sul palco per fare soldi toccandosi le tette, e poi ci fanno la morale col ditino alzato. Ci dicono che i nostri figli vanno rieducati perché potenzialmente violenti. Ma il rispetto si insegna anche col proprio esempio, non solo a parole”
