I video, come ogni anno, girano sui social da giorni: i canali interni di Venezia brulicano di pesci - cefali, per la precisione - ammassati a migliaia gli uni sugli altri nelle vie d'acqua che attraversano la città. Tra barche ormeggiate e pontili, i pesci cercano cibo, acque meno saline e più calde per ripararsi dal freddo dell'inverno e tentano di sfuggire alla voracità dei predatori che li attendono sulle rive più aperte. Le immagini pubblicate sui social mostrano diversi angoli della città «invasi» dai pesci: dal Canal Grande al Bacino Orseolo, fino ai rii più riparati. A galla rimangono anche diversi esemplari morti, vuoi per il passaggio delle barche, vuoi per gli attacchi dei predatori come gabbiani e cormorani o per i giorni in cui si sono registrate le temperature più rigide.
