KOMPAS.TV - Fenomena kekurangan murid terjadi pada tahun ajaran baru 20252026 di Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta.
Pada sistem penerimaan murid baru, SD Negeri Wijimulyo Lor hanya mendapatkan 1 siswa baru.
SD Negeri Wijimulyo Lor pada sistem penerimaan murid baru (SPMB) tahun ini hanya mendapatkan satu siswa baru.
Ini terjadi karena minat masyarakat untuk mendaftarkan anaknya ke sekolah ini terbilang sedikit sejak empat tahun terakhir.
Rata-rata setiap kelas berisi 45 orang, dan di kelas 4 dan 1 hanya berisi satu orang.
Sementara total peserta didik pada tahun ajaran ini hanya 29 siswa.
Banyaknya pilihan sekolah, baik negeri atau swasta, juga menyebabkan sekolah ini kekurangan siswa.
Selain itu, Kondisi sekolah tidak mendapat murid baru juga terjadi di Kabupaten Blora, Jawa Tengah.
Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Patalan, Blora, Jawa Tengah, pada tahun ini terpaksa tidak menggelar MPLS bagi siswa baru karena tak ada satu pun siswa baru yang mendaftar.
Kegiatan MPLS hanya digelar untuk siswa kelas 2 hingga 6, sementara untuk kelas 1, ruangan dibiarkan kosong.
