Яогуа́й (кит. 妖怪 — чудище; наваждение), или яомó (кит. 妖魔 — нечистая сила; злодей), или яоцзи́н (кит. 妖精 — нечисть; обольстительница) — термины для обозначения китайских демонов, потусторонних существ и необъяснимого зла.Народная молва хранит предания не столь древние, как мифы — но куда более близкие простому люду. О невероятных зверях с чужими головами, населяющих горные пещеры и глубины озер. О демонических порождениях преисподней Диюй. И о мертвецах, встающих из могил. И хорошо, если трупы продолжают ходить по земле из-за незаконченных дел или былых привязанностей — иной раз им не хватает живой человеческой крови…
Внутри — колокольчики в руках и бумажные печати на лицах, лошадиные головы и драконьи тела, жемчужины и веревки. Великий мудрец в обезьяньем обличье тоже будет.
