Change your car with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-06-10Mat’s flown over to France to get his hands on a Bugatti Mistral!
It’s officially the world’s fastest open-top sports car, with a top speed of an amazing 270mph! What’s more, it’s also the last Bugatti to feature the glorious 8-litre quad-turbo W16 engine! So is it a fitting send-off? Let’s take a closer look.
In terms of the design, the Mistral is built on the same chassis as the Chiron, but it comes with fully bespoke body panels. Up front, you’ll find the famous horseshoe grille wider and deeper in this iteration, coupled with 3D printed vents on either side. The classic Bugatti bonnet with creases stretching from the back to the front is also on show once again. The side profile is unmistakably Bugatti, with large air intakes found in front of both rear wheels. Around the backlit here’s a huge wing, a huge diffuser, and more 3D-printed vents. There are new V-shaped taillights, and what’s more, there are six(!) exhaust tips!
On the inside, the Mistral’s interior almost mirrors that of the Chiron - but that’s no bad thing! The design is simplistic, with a few digital dials and buttons on the centre console. There’s no infotainment screen, but there are some digital screens around the dials. There is leather and high-quality materials throughout, and there are air intakes above the seats to help drivers hear the Mistral in full force!
The Mistral is powered by the famous 8-litre quad-turbo W16 engine. This means the Mistral produces 1,600hp and 1,600Nm of torque, with power sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox!
There will only be 99 Mistrals produced - but is it a fitting send-off to the W16 engine? Stick with Mat to see for yourself! Receive SMS online on sms24.me
