A tre anni dalla strage di Brandizzo, autorità e cittadini hanno commemorato Giuseppe Aversa, Kevin Laganà, Saverio Giuseppe Lombardo, Giuseppe Sorvillo e Michael Zanera, i cinque operai morti il 30 agosto 2023 dopo essere stati travolti da un treno mentre lavoravano sui binari. Dopo la messa nella chiesa di San Giacomo Apostolo, si è svolta la commemorazione nel piazzale della stazione. Il 30 settembre, a Ivrea, è fissata l’udienza preliminare per 21 imputati, accusati a vario titolo di omicidio colposo e disastro ferroviario colposo. «Sulla sicurezza non è stato fatto niente», ha detto Lidia Orastella, madre di Aversa, chiedendo giustizia per il figlio e le altre vittime.
