Usut Motif Penyerangan Polres Tarakan oleh Oknum TNI, Polisi Gelar Olah TKP
TARAKAN, KOMPAS.TV - Senin (24/02) malam, puluhan anggota TNI mendatangi markas Polres Kota Tarakan Kalimantan Utara dan melakukan penyerangan kepada polisi.Untuk memasikan motif penyerangan, polisi menggelar olah TKP. Hasil olah TKP memperlihatkan sejumlah titik mengalami kerusakan.
Usai kejadian, pelayanan terhadap masyarakat tetap dibuka. Akibat penyerangan, 6 polisi terluka dan harus dirawat di rumah sakit.
Keenam polisi tengah bertugas di bagian Sentra Pelayanan Kepolisian Terpadu atau SPKT Polres Tarakan, saat kejadian.
Polisi dan POM TNI tengah menggelar penyelidikan berjenjang. Pangdam VI Mulawarman Mayjen Rudy Rachmat Nugraha meninjau lokasi bersama Kapolda Kaltara.
POM TNI masih menyelidiki keterlibatan anggotanya. Kapolri sendiri menyatakan tak menurunkan tim untuk menyelidiki kasus ini, karena Kapolda dan Pangdam telah mengambil langkah strategis.
Pengamat Militer, Khairul Fahmi menjelaskan meskipun bentrok terjadi karena kesalahpahaman antar individu, dampak antar kedua instansi tak bisa diabaikan.
Insiden ini bermula dari kesalahpahaman di mana seorang anggota TNI dari Yonif 614/RJP dikeroyok 5 polisi.
Usai kejadian, Polres Tarakan dan anggota Yonif melakukan mediasi dan disepakati membiayai pengobatan korban.
Namun janji ini tak kunjung terealisasi yang memicu penyerangan itu.
