'Large & deadly flood wave' warnings in TX Hill Country, evacuations ordered
Flash flood emergencies are ongoing as “large and deadly” flood waves surge down the Guadalupe and Pedernales rivers in the same areas of Texas Hill County devastated by a similar flood wave last July.The Guadalupe River at Comfort, Texas, rose more than 25 feet in one hour and topped levels hit during last year’s deadly floods as slow-moving storms dropped several inches of rain in just a few hours. About half a year’s worth of rain has already fallen in southern Texas.
