PUTINS KRIEG: Aussage aus Moskau macht hellhörig! Nach Tanker-Debakel! Grönland? "Da geht's ums Ego"Nach der Beschlagnahmung eines unter russischer Flagge fahrenden Tankers durch US-Spezialkräfte hält sich Moskau offiziell noch mit scharfer Kritik zurück. In russischen Kriegsblogs hingegen wird die Aktion bereits als „US-Wirtschaftsblockade“ bezeichnet, auf die nur eine militärische Antwort folgen könne. Nach Einschätzung von WELT-Korrespondent Christoph Wanner war der Tanker Teil der sogenannten russischen Schattenflotte, mit der Moskau westliche Sanktionen umgeht. Diese Flotte soll nach ukrainischen Angaben bis zu 1.250 Schiffe umfassen. Wirtschaftlich könne Russland den Verlust einzelner Tanker verkraften, politisch jedoch dürfte Präsident Wladimir Putin die Aktion als persönliche Affront werten. Beobachter erwarten, dass Hardliner im Kreml dadurch weiter an Einfluss gewinnen, während Befürworter eines Ausgleichs mit den USA an Gehör verlieren. Insgesamt gilt der Vorfall als schwere Belastung für das ohnehin angespannte Verhältnis zwischen Washington und Moskau.
