Lokasi tempat duduknya yang berada di dekat pintu darurat diduga menjadi salah satu faktor dirinya selamat dari kecelakaan maut tersebut.
Vidhi Chaudhary, pejabat kepolisian senior di Ahmedabad mengungkap penyebab Ramesh bisa selamat dari maut.
Ia menyebut, Ramesh berhasil keluar melalui pintu darurat dengan cara melompat.
Berdasarkan boarding pass, Ramesh saat itu duduk di kursi 11A.
Namun, belum jelas apakah Ramesh melompat sebelum atau sesudah pesawat menghantam tanah.
Saat ini, Ramesh tengah menjalani perawatan di rumah sakit.
Ia mengalami cedera di dada, mata, dan kakinya.
Ramesh menuturkan, 30 detik setelah lepas landas, terdengar suara keras dan kemudian pesawat jatuh.
Saat dirinya terbangun, sudah banyak mayat di sekitarnya yang membuatnya ketakutan.
"Semuanya terjadi begitu cepat," kata Ramesh kepada Hindustan Times.
Ramesh menyebut bahwa ia bepergian bersama saudaranya, Ajay, yang duduk di baris berbeda di dalam pesawat.
Saat ini, ia tengah mencari keberadaan sang adik.
