El activista e influencer cubanoamericano Alex Otaola lanzó un llamado directo a los cubanos dentro de la Isla, asegurando que “no hay otra alternativa” que la movilización masiva en las calles para poner fin al régimen.Durante su intervención, Otaola mencionó imágenes de hospitales en condiciones precarias, denuncias sobre falta de medicamentos, alimentos en mal estado destinados a ancianos y basureros acumulados en barrios de La Habana. También hizo referencia a situaciones reportadas en municipios como Guanabacoa, donde los apagones y la quema de basura agravan el deterioro ambiental y sanitario.
El influencer sostuvo que el silencio ciudadano es utilizado por el gobierno como argumento ante la comunidad internacional para afirmar que existe respaldo popular. Según su postura, cualquier forma de protesta —desde manifestaciones públicas hasta acciones simbólicas o religiosas— dependería de la decisión individual de cada ciudadano.
Las declaraciones se producen en medio de un escenario marcado por crisis económica, apagones prolongados y denuncias constantes sobre la situación hospitalaria y alimentaria en Cuba, factores que continúan alimentando el debate sobre posibles estallidos sociales.
