I bambini disegnano in terra le parole “pace”, “partigiano”, “diversità”, “Italia antirazzista” con i gessetti portati dall’Anpi. I padri e le madri si guardano tra loro preoccupati: «Questo è un quartiere dove tutti si danno una mano, dove educhiamo i nostri figli ai valori dell’inclusione». E ora che è arrivata la prima sede fiorentina di Futuro Nazionale, il partito di destra-destra dell’ex generale Roberto Vannacci, sono preoccupati che il clima possa cambiare.
Così nasce e si riunisce nel giro di 72 ore il comitato Tanucci Piazza Aperta. In piazza Tanucci appunto, nel cuore della Rifredi popolare, tra il Romito e piazza Leopoldo. Dove nel pomeriggio di sabato 28 marzo lo stato maggiore di Futuro Nazionale si presenterà compatto, Vannacci in testa, per il taglio del nastro della sede provinciale. E la polizia è già schierata per garantire che tutto scorra liscio.
In piazza si presentano in una cinquantina alle 10 del mattino, cittadini comuni e militanti di gruppi di sinistra e sindacati, poi mano a mano il numero cresce, verso il centinaio. Tavolate, canzoni, patatine e pizzette, disegni, giochi, convivialità. Prima di spostarsi nella vicina piazza Leopoldo nel pomeriggio per non far incontrare le due parti contrapposte.
