I Built a Bot That Automates Shorts Videos (And It’s Insane)

Ever wanted to start a faceless channel but hated spending hours editing? In this video, I’m showing you the exact Python bot I built to completely automate the YouTube Shorts creation process from scratch.

This Windows desktop application is built completely with PySide6 and handles the entire programmatic media pipeline locally. Simply paste your narration script, and the application leverages the edge-tts library to execute flawless, zero-cost text-to-speech utilizing realistic neural models (like en-US-AndrewNeural). From there, the app uses an advanced custom timeline planning algorithm to auto-match your keywords directly with designated image cues inside an image library folder.

The system then automatically handles media processing to fit vertical 1080x1920 (or 720x1280) frame boundaries, implementing automated Ken Burns slow-zoom movement and blurred framing styles for non-vertical media assets. Dynamic subtitle overlays are built on the fly with custom karaoke highlight tracking via custom .ass script styling hooks, processing properties like neon blur glows, text popping animations, and clean type scaling. The app wraps everything up in the background by compiling an FFmpeg subprocess encoding execution pipeline to merge full-range audio tracks (including custom background music mixing) and overlays a high-quality finished high-framerate viral video to your output folder in under 60 seconds!

If you are looking to scale a faceless TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram Reels channel using automation, PySide6 development, and Python scripts, this project changes everything. No more manual timeline editing or fighting with complex software—just pure, programmatic content creation.
