Femminicidio a Castelnuovo del Garda, nel Veronese. Un uomo ha aggredito la compagna in casa uccidendola con un coltello. La vittima è Jessica Stapazzolo Custodio de Lima, 33 anni. Douglas Reis Pedroso, 41 anni, è stato fermato dai carabinieri come gravemente indiziato del delitto avvenuto con un «numero imprecisato, ma comunque smisurato di coltellate», scrive la procura in una nota: è stato l'uomo a chiamare i militari nella notte tra il 27 e il 28 ottobre manifestando l'intenzione di togliersi la vita. Dopo le sue parziali ammissioni sono partiti gli accertamenti che hanno portato al ritrovamento del cadavere nella casa di Castelnuovo. Il coltello è stato rinvenuto nella sua auto. Vittima e presunto omicida sono entrambi di origine brasiliana: la donna circa un anno e mezzo fa sarebbe andata a vivere nell'appartamento che l'uomo aveva comprato in precedenza. La scorsa primavera il presunto omicida era stato sottoposto alla misura del braccialetto elettronico. Quando è stato fermato, però, Douglas Reis Pedroso non indossava il dispositivo.
