Penempatan rudal di Inggris tersebut dilakukan untuk pertama kalinya dalam lebih dari 15 tahun terakhir.
Menurut sumber, sebuah pesawat teridentifikasi lepas landas di Pangkalan Angkatan Udara Kirtland, New Mexico pada (16/7/2025).
Diketahui, pangkalan ini merupakan markas besar Pusat Senjata Nuklir Angkatan Udara AS.
Bahkan, menjadi lokasi penyimpanan utama senjata nuklir.
Pesawat tersebut menuju pangkalan Angkatan Udara Kerajaan (RAF) Inggris di Lakenheath, timur Inggris.
Para analis memperkirakan, penerbangan tersebut membawa bom nuklir yang terakhir kali ditempatkan di Inggris pada 2008.
Kini muncul spekulasi mengenai kemungkinan pangkalan RAF Inggris menjadi tuan rumah senjata nuklir AS.
Pasalnya, menurut dokumen anggaran militer AS, mengisyaratkan bahwa Angkatan Udara bermaksud membangun kembali misi nuklirnya di Inggris.
Akan tetapi, baik AS maupun Inggris enggan merespons soal kabar ini.
