US military says it has lost a refueling aircraft in Iraq
The US Army’s Central Command (CENTCOM) says it has lost a KC-135 refuelling aircraft in friendly airspace during its war on Iran, and rescue efforts are ongoing.Two aircraft were involved in the incident and one went down in western Iraq, while the other landed safely.
“This was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire,” CENTCOM said in a statement. “More information will be made available as the situation develops.”
