Sejumlah anggota kelompok Taliban yang berada di pos tersebut disebut kabur saat diserang.
Media pemerintah Pakistan mengatakan bahwa pasukannya merebut 19 pos perbatasan Afghanistan.
Militer Pakistan selanjutnya membakar pos-pos tersebut.
Pejuang Taliban Afghanistan yang berada di pos tersebut terbunuh dan sebagian ada yang melarikan diri.
Namun, ada pula tentara Taliban yang diduga menyerah di Kurram.
Selain pos perbatasan, sumber keamanan menyebut, jika pasukan Pakistan juga menghancurkan markas batalyon Taliban di beberapa lokasi.
Seperti di kamp Manojba, Pos Jandusar, kamp Turkmenzai, dan Benteng Kharchar.
Militer Islamabad lantas menargetkan tempat persembunyian kelompok bersenjata di dekat perbatasan dengan sangat presisi.
Akibat serangan tersebut, Pakistan mengklaim telah menetralkan lebih dari 200 anggota Taliban.
Jumlah anggota Taliban yang mengalami luka parah juga dilaporkan lebih banyak.
Pakistan lantas mengingatkan agar Taliban berhenti melakukan serangan.
