(LaPresse) - «Io lo dico da tanto tempo: è giusto che ci sia un nuovo stadio, le società ne hanno diritto e ne ha diritto a Milano. Nello stesso tempo non vedo la necessità di abbattere San Siro». Così il presidente del Senato Ignazio La Russa, a margine di un appuntamento a Milano. A chi gli chiedeva se ne avesse parlato anche al presidente dell’Inter Giuseppe Marotta, La Russa ha risposto: «Sì, più di una volta. Lui sorride». Il presidente del Senato ha poi spiegato che, «in tutto il mondo, ci sono stadi anche a distanza di 50 m l'uno dall'altro, questo può avvenire anche a Milano. Siccome il progetto prevede che prima si costruisca il nuovo stadio, poi si abbatta a San Siro. Credo che quando lo stadio nuovo sarà pronto, l'idea di spendere 100 milioni per abbattere San Siro, dando a Milano un problema ambientale terribile per non parlare dei trasporti dei detriti, sarà qualcosa che bisognerà riflettere. Il Comune, e se noi vinciamo sarà così, proponga alle società la parte che non potranno edificare in un'altra parte della città e utilizzare San Siro per tante esigenze, le coppe, o una gara internazionale, perché una struttura come San Siro Milano non ce l'ha. Pensate solo al tennis per esempio o a tanti altri eventi. Io prevedo un futuro, se vince il centrodestra, del nuovo stadio con a fianco San Siro. Plaudo all'iniziativa delle curve che hanno sottolineato non che sono contro il nuovo stadio, esattamente come me che sono a favore, ma non vogliono l'abbattimento di San Siro».
