KLUB-WM: Bei der Siegerehrung vom FC Chelsea! US-Präsident Donald Trump sorgt für Irritationen!US-Präsident Donald Trump ist am Sonntag beim Finale der Fußball-Klub-WM bei New York ausgebuht worden. Als Trump nach dem Sieg des FC Chelsea gegen Paris Saint-Germain zusammen mit Fifa-Präsident Gianni Infantino den Pokal und die Medaillen verlieh, wurde er im Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford in New Jersey von vielen Zuschauern ausgebuht und ausgepfiffen.
Erste Buhrufe waren bereits zu hören, als Trump vor dem Spiel in seiner Loge Platz nahm und während der Nationalhymne auf den Stadion-Bildschirmen eingeblendet wurde. Als Trump dann zusammen mit Infantino zur Siegerehrung das Spielfeld betrat, waren die Buhrufe und Pfiffe von einem Teil der mehr als 81.000 Zuschauer sehr laut vernehmbar - bis die Musik im Stadion aufgedreht wurde.
Trump ließ sich jedoch nichts anmerken: Er schüttelte den Spielern die Hände, hängte ihnen Medaillen um und posierte zusammen mit den Fußballern gut gelaunt für die Fotografen.
In East Rutherford findet im kommenden Jahr auch das Finale der Fußball-WM statt, die vom 11. Juni bis 19. Juli 2026 in Kanada, Mexiko und den USA ausgetragen wird.
