Kunjungan ini menjadi bagian dari upaya penguatan diplomasi luar negeri Indonesia, khususnya di bidang pertahanan, ekonomi, dan kerja sama strategis lintas kawasan.Presiden Prabowo memulai lawatan luar negeri pertamanya ke Riyadh, Arab Saudi, pada tanggal 5 Juli 2025. Diketahui dalam kunjungan ini, Presiden akan bertemu dengan Putra Mahkota Mohammed bin Salman.
Setelah kunjungan ke Arab Saudi, Presiden Prabowo melanjutkan perjalanannya ke Brasília, Brasil, pada 9 Juli 2025, dan bertemu dengan Presiden Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Dalam pertemuan bilateral tersebut, sejumlah kesepakatan penting dicapai.
Selain itu, Brasil dan Indonesia juga sepakat memperkuat koordinasi di forum-forum multilateral seperti G20 dan BRICS, serta menegaskan pentingnya solidaritas antara negara-negara berkembang.
