Suwawa Timur, Gorontalo disapu longsor pada Minggu (7/7/2024) lalu, terekam dalam sebuah kamera amatir warga setempat.
Video tersebut turut diunggah oleh akun media sosial (Medsos) TikTok @cloov3r.
Dalam video menunjukkan area tambang emas tersebut disapu longsor.
Terlihat tanah bergerak turun dan menimbun satu demi satu tenda-tenda warga yang dibangun di area tambang.
Tampak, sejumlah tenda warna-warni ikut terbawa dalam gerakan tanah yang tak berhenti.
Diduga, longsor yang melanda Suwawa Timur tersebut karena intensitas hujan deras beberapa hari terakhir.
Kendati demikian, belum diketahui secara pasti terkait penyebab longsor tambang emas di Gorontalo tersebut.
Atas kejadian ini, berdasarkan data yang diperoleh Tribun Network pada dSelasa (9/7/2024) sekira pukul 13.30 WIB, sebanyak 20 korban meninggal dunia.
Sementara 51 orang terdata hilang.
Sejauh ini tim SAR dan tim gabungan TNI/Polri masih terus melakukan upaya evakuasi.
Evakuasi sempat terkendala sulitnya akses dan cuaca yang berubah-ubah.
