"Cuando China florece" llega a Nyingchi para emprender una nueva expedición botánica. La presentadora Zhang Shuyue, el actor Zhang Rui y la divulgadora científica Lu Jing recorren en automóvil la carretera de Zhamo rumbo a Motuo. Tras ascender hasta los 3.400 metros de altitud, se encuentran con rododendros alpinos; luego se adentran en la selva tropical virgen de Motuo para descubrir orquídeas silvestres, como la orquídea cabeza de tigre, hasta dar finalmente con la "Paphiopedilum venustum", una planta protegida de primera categoría a nivel nacional. El recorrido continúa en los bosques de almendros silvestres de Bomi, donde degustan especialidades gastronómicas con sabor a durazno y conocen cómo la llamada "economía del durazno" impulsa el desarrollo de las comunidades rurales.
