Am Mount Everest kommt es zu einem dramatischen Schreckmoment: Eine Lawine löst sich und zieht als gewaltige Schneewalze in Richtung südliches Basislager. Bergsteiger geraten in Alarm, einige filmen die Situation, während andere sich sofort in ihre Zelte zurückziehen. Innerhalb weniger Augenblicke hüllt dichter Schnee das Camp ein. Trotz der gefährlichen Situation bleibt der Vorfall am Everest glimpflich, während sich die Klettersaison in Nepal gerade erst in den Anfangstagen befindet.
