Baden-Württemberg wählt neuen Landtag

Die Landtagswahl in Baden-Württemberg gilt als Stimmungstest für die Bundesregierung und bildet den Auftakt für das Superwahljahr 2026. Außerdem endet in einem der größten Länder der Republik eine politische Ära.

Winfried Kretschmann tritt nicht mehr an: Nach 15 Jahren als Ministerpräsident Baden-Württembergs steht sein Name nicht mehr auf dem Stimmzettel. Mit 77 Jahren zieht sich der Grünen-Politiker zurück. Seit 2016 regiert er mit der CDU, zuvor fünf Jahre mit der SPD.

Um seine Nachfolge bewerben sich Cem Özdemir (Grüne) und Manuel Hagel (CDU). Die AfD könnte stärkste Oppositionskraft werden – eine Zusammenarbeit mit ihr schließen alle anderen Parteien aus. Außerdem dürfen in Baden-Württemberg erstmals auch 16- und 17-Jährige ihre Stimme abgeben.
