Ein Gericht in Moskau hat den deutschen Bildhauer und Karnevalisten Jacques Tilly in Abwesenheit zu acht Jahren und sechs Monaten Haft verurteilt. Tilly habe sich der Verletzung religiöser Gefühle und der Verbreitung von Falschnachrichten über die russischen Streitkräfte schuldig gemacht, urteilte Richter Konstantin Otschirow in dem umstrittenen Strafverfahren.Hintergrund sind die von Tilly gebauten Karnevalswagen, die Kremlchef Putin und den von ihm befohlenen Krieg gegen die Ukraine kritisieren.
