KOMPAS.TV - Jelang bulan ramadan, ribuan warga Menes melakukan tradisi munggahan di alun-alun Kecamatan Menes, Kabupaten Pandeglang, Banten.
Dalam kegiatan ini, orang-orang berkumpul untuk menikmati makanan yang telah dibawa dari rumah, lalu disantap secara bersama-sama, seperti sambal, ikan, ayam, sayur asem, tahu tempe, hingga lalapan.
Kegiatan yang diikuti 1.500 orang ini dilakukan setiap tahun dalam rangka menyambut bulan suci Ramadan.
Munggahan atau acara makan bersama memiliki makna yang mendalam, sebagai ajang silaturahmi dan saling maaf-maafan, agar melaksanakan ibadah puasa dengan penuh sukacita.
Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat membawa dampak yang positif untuk persatuan, kesatuan, dan kerukunan antar warga, sehingga selama bulan Ramadan hingga Idul Fitri bisa berjalan dengan khidmat.
