JAPAN: Rekord-Deal! Sushi-Chef ersteigert seltenen Thunfisch für 2,8 Millionen Euro!Der teuerste Fischdeal der Welt! Stolz präsentiert ein japanischer Geschäftsmann seinen Millionenfang. Auf einer Auktion in Tokio ersteigert der Chef einer Sushi-Restaurantkette einen 243 Kilogramm schweren Blauflossenthunfisch – für umgerechnet rund 2,8 Millionen Euro. Rekordpreis.
Weil Blauflossenthunfische besonders fettreich und zart sind, gelten sie bei Sushi-Liebhabern als absolute Delikatesse. Doch ihre Bestände schrumpfen seit Jahren, die Tiere sind selten. Auktionen treiben die Preise deshalb in schwindelerregende Höhen. Aus dem Rekord-Fisch entstehen rund 5.000 Sushi-Portionen, rechnerisch etwa 600 Euro pro Stück. Verkauft werden sollen sie dennoch für nur 5 bis 10 Euro. Für den Käufer zählt vor allem eines: Prestige und Symbolkraft.
