Gegen „Radikalkapitalismus“ und die „soziale Abrissbirne“ – die Chefin des Deutschen Gewerkschaftsbundes zeigt sich für die kommenden vier Jahre kämpferisch. Auf dem DGB-Bundeskongress wurde Yasmin Fahimi mit großer Mehrheit wiedergewählt.Bundesweit stehen Gewerkschaften unter Druck. Die Zeiten, in denen gut 40 Prozent aller Beschäftigten Mitglied in einer Gewerkschaft waren, sind vorbei. Seit den 1980er ging es stetig bergab. Heute zählt der DGB mit seinen acht Gewerkschaften 5,4 Millionen Mitglieder. Die Motivation sich für einen Betriebsrat im eigenen Unternehmen zu engagieren, scheint mancherorts zu schwinden.
