Intervención en el marco del audiovisual más amplio “Sistemas alimentarios sostenibles en Pinar del Río: apoyando a Cuba desde la Comunidad Valenciana”.Se trata de un proyecto de cooperación, ejecutado este 2025, cuyo título oficial es “Construyendo sistemas alimentarios locales, sostenibles, equitativos y resilientes en los consejos populares rurales Piloto y Pueblo Nuevo de Consolación del Sur”, cuyas entidades impulsoras son la ONG valenciana Unió de Pobles Solidaris y la Asociación Nacional de Agricultores Pequeños (ANAP), con el apoyo de una subvención de la Cooperació Valenciana (Generalitat Valenciana).
A partir de un diagnóstico participativo de la propia población, este proyecto, desarrollado en Consolación del Sur, un municipio de la provincia de Pinar del Río, y en concreto en las comunidades rurales de Piloto y Pueblo Nuevo, busca fortalecer los sistemas alimentarios locales, en beneficio de las familias de tres cooperativas agropecuarias que, además de mantener su principal actividad, la producción de tabaco de calidad, han logrado mejoras de las capacidades de producción de alimentos, principalmente de origen animal. Además, se han creado varios empleos, principalmente de mujeres.
