Tak Terima Tanahnya Dibakar, PM Israel Nyatakan Siap Perangi Hizbullah di Perbatasan Utara

Ia menekankan bahwa tentara Israel siap berperang melawan militan Lebanon di utara.
Hal itu disampaikan Netanyahu selama kunjungannya ke Kota Kiryat Shmona, Rabu (5/6/2024).
"Kami siap untuk tindakan yang sangat kuat di utara," kata dia, dikutip dari Jerusalem Post.
Menurutnya, Israel tak akan tinggal diam melihat serangan Hizbullah yang semakin hari semakin masif.
Pada Minggu (2/6/2024), militan Lebanon meluncurkan serangkaian roket dan drone ke Israel utara.
Serangan ini memicu kebakaran hebat, termasuk di Kiryat Shmona dan Dataran Tinggi Golan.
Luas lahan yang terbakar bahkan mencapai 2.500 hektar, menghanguskan hutan hingga cagar alam.
Saat meninjau Kiryat Shmona, Netanyahu memuji petugas pemadam kebakaran yang bekerja sepanjang waktu.
Namun, ia tak ingin hanya tanah Israel yang terbakar, melainkan Lebanon juga.
"Kemarin tanah di sini terbakar, tetapi tanah di Lebanon juga harus terbakar," pungkasnya.
