Here you can see various emergency vehicles of the Herzogtum Lauenburg disaster control units. The footage was recorded during a training exercise focused on driving in a closed convoy. At first, the vehicles can be seen individually on their way to the staging area. This is followed by scenes of the convoy in formation. The units trained over a distance of approximately 130 kilometers within the district.

Units involved in the exercise included the DLRG, the DRK, the regie unit, and the HLR (Herzogtum Lauenburg Emergency Medical Service).

There are several notable highlights in the video. One that immediately stands out is the DLRG Büchen water rescue vehicle. The Ford Ranger, equipped with a winch and off-road tires, is definitely an eye-catcher.

Also featured is the new disaster control vehicle of Schleswig-Holstein, abbreviated GW-KATS SH. In Herzogtum Lauenburg, this vehicle is assigned to the regie unit.

Another vehicle that catches the eye is the HLR’s GW-San with its Battenburg design. This vehicle was acquired second-hand from the DRK Schwarzenbek and subsequently converted. It is the only GW-San in Schleswig-Holstein operated by an emergency medical service organization. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
