I am a self-proclaimed basement bedroom LOVER, as you may or may not know. They don’t have to be dark and scary, and that’s the challenge I’m tackling with this makeover. This is my friend Karis’ dated basement room that I’ve been asked to turn into a cozy guest bedroom. It won’t be easy, but I think we can make it happen—and it needs to happen quickly, as she has guests coming over very soon. So watch as I DIY a shiplap half wall, bring in a Murphy bed, upcycle the built-in shelf and create a truly cozy basement bedroom. Let me know if you’d enjoy your stay in this room in the comments!
