Já é de conhecimento geral que ele foi aprovado com cinco estrelas nos crash tests que avaliam o nível de proteção fornecido aos ocupantes no caso de acidente. O VW Tiguan poderá chegar importado do México com a motorização tradicional 1.4 turbo flex de 150 cv ou 2.0 turbo com 200 cv.
Mas como a Volkswagen do Brasil está se entusiasmando com os híbridos, uma outra opção é trazer o híbrido leve, mas com bateria de 48 volts e motor 1.5 de 150 cv.
