Tra queste, una ragazza pugliese affetta da SLA trasferitasi a Milano ha dovuto spostarsi fino a Isernia per effettuare tre risonanze a pagamento, scegliendo infine solo quella più urgente. Un tassista racconta invece della moglie con un’ernia cervicale che non poteva aspettare tre mesi: «Hanno dovuto chiedere un prestito e rivolgersi alla sanità privata». Queste vicende non sono isolate: circa 40.000 casi raccolti nello studio confermano la drammaticità del fenomeno.
