Naran is a 2005 Malayalam action-drama directed by Joshiy and written by Ranjan Pramod. The movie features Mohanlal as Mullankolli Velayudhan, with an excellent supporting cast including Madhu, Siddique, Jagathy Sreekumar, Innocent, Bhavana and Devayani.

Velayudhan is such an interesting character because he isn't presented simply as a conventional hero. His personality, his relationship with the villagers, his fearless nature and his own way of dealing with problems immediately make him fascinating to watch.
