La soledad suele subestimarse, especialmente la que sufren los jóvenes. El reportaje acompaña a cuatro jóvenes: Ellen, Gordon, Lilli y Vanelynn, que se sienten aislados por motivos muy diferentes.Está, por ejemplo, Ellen, que se muda a Friburgo para estudiar y aún no conoce a mucha gente allí. Otra afectada es Lilli, de 19 años, que a menudo se siente sola en Cottbus (Brandeburgo), por sus convicciones de izquierda. También está la influencer Vanelynn, de Düsseldorf. Aunque está constantemente conectada a Internet, echa de menos el contacto con la vida real. El último protagonista es Gordon, de Stuttgart, que vive con depresión.
