Бої за місто Часів Яр у інтенсивному режимі тривають вже понад рік. Це одне з найгарячіших місць на мапі бойових дій на Донеччині. Місто знаходиться на висоті, тож має стратегічне значення. Якщо російським військам вдасться його захопити, це відкриє дорогу до Костянтинівки, а також наблизить до Краматорська та Слов’янська. На цій ділянці фронту російські війська активно використовують FPV-дрони, керовані авіаційні бомби, артилерію та штурмові групи.
